Hi there!

Thanks for stopping by Hello Meryl Photography. 

I live in Alameda, CA and specialize in lifestyle photography. 

I got my first DSLR ('fancy camera' as my husband likes to call it) in 2008 but really didn't pursue my interest until the birth of my first son in 2013. Through his birth, I had found a deeper appreciation in witnessing and documenting tender moments shared by families. 

MY STYLE. I use a lot of natural light in my photos. I take a mix of posed and documentary style photographs. I like capturing the honest moments in my subjects - smiles, tears and everything in between! 

PHOTOGRAPHY IS MY CREATIVE OUTLET. When I don't have my camera slung over my shoulder, I work a 9-5 at a payments tech company and come home to a husband, two sons and two puppies.
